To describe Anissa Hastings as detail-oriented is an understatement. Before coming to real estate, she spent 25 years in the legal services industry specializing in complex litigation matters as a paralegal, and she sold legal services to Fortune 500 companies and law firms as a sales executive. Anissa’s success goes far beyond the details though. Clients trust her loyalty and dedication, and feel confident that her energy and enthusiasm will lead them to positive results.“Make today count and make tomorrow better than today,” is Anissa’s core belief. “I like making a difference, personally and professionally, by helping others realize success and finding solutions. Real estate is not only a job to me, it’s a field where I can connect people to the dream of home ownership.” She does that through active listening and collaboration, leading her to the goal set by company founder Jim Weichert when he opened his first office in 1969: “…helping people achieve their visions of the future smoothly and with as little stress as possible.”Originally from Davidsonville, Md., Anissa earned a degree in paralegal studies and business from the University of Maryland. She’s lived in Mount Airy since 2005, where she has supported her community in so many ways. She is the public relations chair for Cub Scouts Pack 460, coaches basketball and baseball little leagues sports through the Mount Airy Youth Athletic Association, volunteers at her son’s elementary school, has served at the National Charity Director for Women in eDiscovery, and is an organizer and promoter of “Runnin’ 4 Rocco,” which is a charity event that supports the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation. Biking, golfing and hiking are among her favorite pastimes, especially when it means spending time with her husband of 12 years (Brian) and their 9-year-old son.
